FLIGHT LINE ORIENTATION

Your Flight Line Orientation (FLO) signals the start of a new career and profession and is designed to be the foundation of your learning experience at Professional Aeronautics Academy. All of the necessary information for a successful tenure at PAA will be provided to you, at no cost. FLO is a requirement for all new students who will conduct flight training at the academy. The primary goals of FLO are:

  • to give the new student the greatest chance for success at the academy.
  • to introduce new students to the responsibilities of a Pilot-Training (PT) and familiarize PTs with standard PAA procedures, available company resources, training techniques, and flight line safety.
  • to assist new PTs in developing proper study habits and time management skills.
  • to familiarize the parents of new students with the flight line experience (if requested).
  • to introduce the PT to their primary training staff and senior company personnel.
  • to answer any outstanding questions about training and the academy lifestyle.

REGISTRATION AND DATES

All students are allowed to register for Flight Line Orientation (FLO) through myPAA after their initial deposit and/or course cost has been paid. Registration is open continuously and new students may register for any available orientation date however; new students must attend FLO before conducting any flight training activities.  Parents of new students are also permitted to attend FLO. Parents who wish to attend must ensure that their student lists them as a guest on their myPAA registration.

Flight Line Orientation (FLO) Dates:

  • 1st and 3rd Saturday of Every Month
  • Special Dates Available By Request Only

Student Advisors:
Current students who wish to help incoming students by serving as Student Advisors should contact the Company Administrator via email at denise.jackson@professionalaeronautics.com. Student Advisors must have at least the Private Pilot Ground School Course completed. Additionally, it is recommended that only flight students who have completed both Stage 1 and Stage two of the Private Pilot Flight Course be allowed to participate. Contact the Company Administrator for more details.
