Step 1 - Instrument Ground School Course

Ground school is the fundemental building block for all future flight training. Identical to ground training courses taught at aviation universities, our ground school course teaches all the subject areas required by Title 14 of the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) for Instrument Ground training. Use the menu bar on the left to find the tuition and fees for the Instrument Rating course.

Step 2 - Instrument Flight Course

You can start your flight training concurrently with your instrument ground school or after the ground school course is completed. There are three seperate instrument rating courses. The course that you will be admitted to is based on your aptitude and previous experience. Your course options are:

40 HOUR COURSE
If you have little instrument experience, but at least 27 hours of cross country PIC time, the 40 hour course is designed specifically for you. If you have completed our 55 hour Private Pilot course, you already meet the cross-country pre-requisites for this course. Simulated instrument time (flown with a safety pilot) is very valuable but not a requirement for this course.
20 HOUR COURSE
If you have at least 40 hours of PIC cross country time and 10 hours of simulated instrument time (flown with a safety pilot or an instructor pilot) then this course is for you. This option is perfect for the student who has started elsewhere and needs to complete thier training.
15 HOUR COURSE
If you hold an instrument rating in another category of aircraft and need to meet the 15 hour dual training requirement in airplanes, this is your course! Perfect for military helicopter pilots with a rotorcraft instrument rating.
