FINANCING AND FINANCIAL AID

For College Degree Producing Programs Only

You can apply for Federal grants and student loans to fund your college degree and flight training. Federal Student Aid plays a central and essential role in supporting post secondary education by providing money for college to eligible students and families. They deliver services that help students and families who are paying for college.

Start by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) online. This process takes about 45 minutes and will automatically determine the amount of financial benefits you will receive based on federal allowances and your particular situation. You can use the information below to start your FAFSA. You'll want to start as early as possible so that you can meet registration deadlines.

For Veterans Enrolled In College Degree Producing Programs Only

The Post-9/11 GI Bill provides financial support for education and housing to individuals with at least 90 days of total service after September 11, 2001, or servicemembers who were honorably discharged due to a service-connected disability after 30 days. You must have received an honorable discharge to be eligible for the Post-9/11 GI Bill.

Use your Post 9/11 GI Bill to cover the cost of your college degree, and help to offset the cost of your flight training. If you have not already applied, visit the Veterans On-Line Application (VONAPP) and apply for benefits. Remember:

1. Mountwest Community and Technical College (MCTC) is your primary school, not PAA.
2. You can select either Transportation or General Studies as your degree program.
3. You must enroll and be accepted in the degree program before you can begin training.
