Complex Aircraft Course Part 61 of the Federal Aviation Regulations require that pilots receive specific training before performing pilot-in-command duties in an airplane that has a constant speed propeller, retractable landing gear, and flaps. If you are ready to take the next step in your professional training and fly more complex aircraft, we offer this course to you. All of the ground training and flight training necessary for this endorsement is provided at the location of your choice. This training can be completed in as little as 2 days with a full time commitment. Your training will be one-on-one with a dedicated flight instructor who will teach you the proper way to operate a complex aircraft. During your ground training, you will review aircraft systems, operational procedures, aircraft limitations, weight and balance calculations and any other information pertinent to flying a complex aircraft. You will receive up to three training flights totaling 3 hours which will focus on the normal and emergency operations of complex aircraft systems. Lodging Each flight academy location has special corporate rates at local hotels, motels and several bed-and-breakfast establishments depending on student preference. Our staff will be happy to assist you in selecting the lodging arrangements that are best for you. If you need us to book your hotel or arrange for transportation, just ask. Transportation There are several rental car agencies around our each of our campus locations, however, based on student load, transportation is usually provided to and from hotels that are within a reasonable distance from the campus.
