Salary jobs in the aviation transportation industry are projected to increase by at least 7 percent between 2008 and 2018. The Bureau of Labor and Statistics (BLS) May 2007 data, annual salaries range from $25,380 to $114,400. For new pilots, the typical first career is as a paid flight instructor where they will fly approximately 1,000 flight hours training students to become pilots.

After gaining sufficient experience, several career paths are available including corporate/executive flight operations, regional airline pilot, and cargo pilot. Senior airline Captains can make well over $200,000 per year while flying the most prestigious aircraft in the companies inventory.

A new skill is useless without putting it into practice. This is why PAA has hiring relationships with some of the nations best flight academies. PAA also hires up to 80% of its Flight Instructor graduates to work at the academy right after they graduate! Our job placement assistance will give you the resources you need to find employment and become successful in your aviation career.
